How would you suggest sabotaging thieves and car vandals?

I need a good idea for y-trapping people trying to steal from cars in the neighborhood, so far they have shattered windows and stolen and I fear they will be coming back soon to try and get whatever they possibly can, all things of value have been removed from my cars and a police report has been filed on the one they already targeted, but I really would like to get them!!!! Any quick home remedy ideas?? I have thought of pouring syrup around the car and sprinkling flour all around it as to get some tracks from them, but that would not stop them good enough ya know?? Let me know if you have any wacky ideas to help me combat these criminals fast!! Thankyou!
