Do you think it is proper etiquette to choose a best answer if you ask a question?

I'm with you. It annoys me so much when I put a lot of though and effort into answering a question, or provide links to back myself up and they let it go to a vote. Usually in vote them someone who gives totally wrong answers, or just says IDK wins the vote.
