Can you get drunk off trifle?

What the heck is trifle? Do you mean, truffles? If you want to get drunk, why bother with the truffles? Just get a bottle of booze. In cooking, the point is NOT to get drunk, the point is to ADD FLAVOR to food by enhancing it with small portions of alcoholic substances. Most of the alcohol gets burned off during the cooking process, leaving the "flavor" of the alcoholic beverage behind.
