How long should I let my baby cry?

If you feel you might harm the baby, or become really angry, its best to make sure he is fed, dry and otherwise okay and lay him in the crib for a few minutes until you calm down. Is there anyone who can come help you? If anyone has offered now is the time to take them up on it!! Have them come watch the baby for an hour so you can get in a nap. The first few weeks are the hardest, but it does get better. You also have to remember its a big change for him too, he just spent 9 months being held by you 24/7 and now he's in this big scary world and needs a lot of reurance.
