Why is it wrong to say bad things about a persons race but...?

but it is ok to hate a person or speak evil of a persons faith? Defamation leads to Persecution. The Jews were first defamed and ridiculed before they were targeted for criminal activity and then eventually holocaust. The hatred of Christians is becoming overwhelming. My faith has hurt no one. I believe that being gay is wrong. But I have never hurt a gay person for acting that way. I believe that outside of marriage is wrong. I have never hated anyone for doing so.
