How's my story idea so far?

This is a VERY rough outline of my story, which is a one hundred page outline at the moment, but will eventually turn into an eight book fantasy saga about a boy named Ryan Sheppard who lived in Seattle, and (when was ten) watched his parents get killed, although he has no recollection of the incident. The next year, he was attacked by a tall but thin grey creature with no facial features except large white eyes. A man who looked strikingly familiar saved him and took him to his elderly widow neighbor with whom he had been staying for the past year. The man explains that Ryan's parents had been from another 'world' on the Olympic Peninsula that couldn't be seen by anyone, except those who belong there, but Ryan's parents had been forced into hiding in Seattle because the were wrongfully accused for murder. Ryan moves there with his uncle and discovers that it's a huge city that seems to glow and that there's a school there and that the reason why everyone there lives there is because they can see all the magic things in the world, the creatures, and they themselves can harness the power of the magic a little bit. Over the next few years Ryan makes seven close friends and learns more about that 'world's past, especially about the war in which his parents had fought bravely, but then accused wrongly. In his first year there, Ryan meets the man that was behind the war and who his parents 'murdered' and who killed his parents, his name was Elathan Ansal Blackwood. He had bathed in an evil pool of black water made by Sirens ensuring that he wouldn't die completely if killed. Although, he needed to complete the ritual so as to raise the army of Sirens and become immortal. (This is the main plot over the next few years, and then in the fourth book, Blackwood is able to become more than the weak soul he was, he gets a body, and begins the process of immortality, but was interrupted by Ryan, which resulted in Ryan and Blackwood becoming intertwined. At that point, the only way for Blackwood to die is for the pool to be destroyed by Ryan which would in theory, kill Ryan.
